Examples of development work
Temperature fields in structures with heat pipes
Software models of heat pipes and honeycomb panels used in spacecraft structures. The mathematical model uses the transient heat conduction equation; parallel algorithms for multicore systems and clusters are also explored.
Automated thermal analysis
Hardware and software components for analysing the crystallisation of metal melts, using cluster analysis, neural networks for alloy phase recognition and spline smoothing of thermal curves.
Regulations and organisation
The laboratory’s regulations define its status, functions, management, staff responsibilities, cooperation with university units and funding.
