The Student Council is a voice for students, a home for shared initiatives and a source of support in university life.
Representation and support
The institute’s Student Council represents the student body and connects students with the administration. It consists of elected representatives from each IATE department. Its young, motivated team brings together active students who organise initiatives in their free time, meet people with shared interests, and build cooperation with companies and other organisations.
The council advocates for students’ rights and needs, provides information that helps students navigate university life, and organises educational and social activities. Working together helps students develop their ideas and form new friendships. The IATE Student Council also cooperates with other student organisations and clubs across the university.
A central responsibility is to communicate students’ concerns and ideas to the administration and teaching staff. These may concern academic matters, such as courses and curriculum changes, or issues such as campus safety and student services. The council can connect students with other university organisations, including student-government and alumni bodies. When difficulties arise in studying, council members help students and the administration find common ground and resolve conflicts constructively.
Initiatives and university life
The IATE Student Council and institute administration work together to support student ideas and plans. The team also maintains communication with the university administration.
The council contributes to planning social events, lectures and meetings. Its activities may include student initiation events, Miss/Mister IATE, Institute Day and New Year celebrations, alongside other opportunities to meet and work together.
By representing students, communicating with staff and organising activities, the Student Council helps build a sense of community and participation in institute life.
