Join us on 3–4 April 2026 as Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosts the opening of HeatTech Hackathon 2026. Eighteen teams will develop innovative solutions in heat and power engineering.

The Educational and Research Institute of Nuclear and Thermal Energy at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute invites prospective students and their families to an online Open Day on 4 April 2026.

Students specialising in G4 Energy Production are invited to take part in the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Energy Management, held online on 14–16 April 2026.

Andrii Makarchuk, a postgraduate student and assistant at IATE’s Department of Software Engineering in Energy, has become a recipient of the President of Ukraine’s academic scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic year.

KPI leaders and a WINS delegation discussed the results of their partnership and new areas of cooperation in nuclear security, including radiation safety, small modular reactors and joint research.

On 16 February 2026, KPI welcomed a WINS delegation from Austria for the opening of a WINS Testing Centre at IATE. The centre provides examinations for a WINS Academy certification module on radioactive-source security.

On 11 February 2026, the Department of Atomic Energy will hold research and technical seminars presenting dissertation work on radiation-resistant nuclear equipment and solid-fuel boilers and gasifiers.
