IATE research focuses on energy efficiency, the reliability and safety of power equipment, and the education of engineers and researchers.
Two interconnected objectives
Research for energy and industry
Research, engineering design and technology development for the energy sector, industry and public services. The aim is to improve production efficiency, equipment and thermal-process performance and safety, and the competitiveness of products and services.
Research within education
Fundamental and applied research is integrated with teaching to prepare engineers and researchers. Academic staff, research engineers, doctoral candidates and students contribute through the institute’s departments.
