OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS
From robotics and data analysis to energy efficiency: explore a research topic, student group or supervisor for your first research project. Contact the relevant department about participation and available places.
Find your research direction
Automation of Energy Processes
RoboHUB’s 2026 student projects include a hexapod, a computer-vision cobot, a small “Spider Sebastian” robot and a balancing rig. This is a practical route for students interested in robotics, automation and programming.
Ask the department about participation: +38 044 204-80-84 or +38 044 204-80-85.
Atomic Energy
Student conferences and research competitions offer a route to present your findings and join departmental research. The department’s March 2025 records describe preparations for these activities. Ask the department which student projects and supervisors are available now: aes_kpi@ukr.net, +38 044 204-80-87.
Thermal and Alternative Energy
The department’s research includes power-plant equipment, energy efficiency, heat pumps and other energy solutions. In 2025, TAE and the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management held an Energy Management student olympiad with webinars for bachelor’s and master’s students. The event has ended; contact the department about future opportunities: +38 044 204-80-96 or +38 044 204-80-89.
Digital Technologies in Energy
The department involves students in projects on image processing for diagnostics and monitoring (Nataliia Ausheva), AI for sustainable-development risk analysis (Nataliia Karaieva), machine learning for image recognition (Olena Shaldenko), a decentralised platform supporting Ukraine (Iryna Segeda and Larysa Kublii), and energy-management software (V. Mamalyha and Iryna Segeda).
In 2025, 39 DTE students took part in the IATE conference. Contact the department to discuss a topic: kafedra.dte@lll.kpi.ua.
Software Engineering in Energy
The department lists four student groups: AerospaceLab KPI, SmartEnergyLab KPI, Smart Energy Fab Lab and Data Analysis and Fundamentals of Machine Learning. Their topics include robotics, electronics and microcontrollers, 3D modelling and data analysis.
AerospaceLab names Dmytro Domin as its lead and publishes dima.domin@gmail.com. Smart Energy Fab Lab names student coordinator Anastasiia Vdovyna and publishes vdovyna.anastasiia@lll.kpi.ua. Confirm application dates and participation arrangements with the coordinators. General department contact: kafedra.ipze.kpi@gmail.com.
