Igor Sikorsky KPI has announced updates to its Google Workspace for Education accounts in the @edu.kpi.ua and @lll.kpi.ua domains. Students and staff should check whether these changes affect their accounts.

Moving from the old domain

KPI set 30 September 2026 as the deadline for students in higher years with active @lll.kpi.ua accounts to move to @edu.kpi.ua by contacting a university account administrator. According to the official announcement, accounts that have not moved will be suspended after that date. If you still use the old domain, contact an administrator as soon as possible.

Staff and postgraduate students are also advised to move to @edu.kpi.ua. KPI states that data and access to courses are retained when the domain changes, while cloud storage increases from 10 GB to 50 GB.

Address changes and first-year access

For students in higher years, email addresses now follow a format based on the transliterated surname, given name and group code without a hyphen. Passwords remain unchanged, data and course access are retained, and the previous address continues to work as an email alias.

According to KPI’s August announcement, account details for first-year bachelor’s students were being sent to the personal email addresses they provided in their applicant accounts. The university also announced address updates for first-year master’s students to reflect their new group codes. If you have not received your sign-in details or have lost access, contact the administrator for your unit.

Restoring inactive accounts

On 29 August, KPI archived 3,373 accounts whose last sign-in was before 31 May 2025. If your account is among them and you are currently a KPI student or employee, request restoration from an administrator by 31 October 2026. KPI says these archived accounts will be permanently deleted after that date.

The university’s administrator directory and full announcement are available on its official website in Ukrainian. The directory currently has no named administrator contact for IATE; use the university contact page to request help.
